The Incredible Words

Location

My mom used to tell me,
That the strongest man,
Was the last one to flee,
When it all hit the fan,
I held on to the words,
With both hands I grasped it,
They would be my wards,
Helped me when hardest bit,
Of my life,
They saved me from myself,
And all the others,
Like the cross on the shelf,
With all my brothers'
Names on it,
But now I know that it wasnt the story,
My momma or my Lords,
It was them that carried me,
It was all just the words.

My mom used to tell me,

My mom used to tell me,

That the strongest man,

Was the last one to flee,

When it all hit the fan,

I held on to the words,

With both hands I grasped it,

They would be my wards,

Helped me when hardest bit,

Of my life,

They saved me from myself,

And all the others,

Like the cross on the shelf,

With all my brothers'

Names on it,

But now I know that it wasnt the story,

My momma or my Lords,

It was them that carried me,

It was all just the words.

That the strongest man,

Was the last one to flee,

When it all hit the fan,

I held on to the words,

With both hands I grasped it,

They would be my wards,

Helped me when hardest bit,

Of my life,

They saved me from myself,

And all the others,

Like the cross on the shelf,

With all my brothers'

Names on it,

But now I know that it wasnt the story,

My momma or my Lords,

It was them that carried me,

It was all just the words.
