The Inevitable Battle

Tue, 03/03/2015 - 09:34 -- Mrae_DZ

Forgotten words stray from your tongue,

slipping away like the air in your lungs.

Temptations you had, you no longer desire,

left with only an ember sparked from a fire.

You lack remorse when you confide in others.

Crawl for advice, back to your mothers.

Everything you've come to know collapses at your feet,

rather than stand your ground you choose to retreat.

Ignoring this chaos leads only to ignorance

to prevent the madness, you must create an interference.

Allow strength to remain higher than lust.

It is the well being of YOU that becomes the must.

This battle no longer has compassion to lend,

days will be better when this war finally ends.
