Inspiration is the Flame of Imagination

Imagination

The most cunning of human machinations

Is, without some resultant flare

For naught, merely spare

Flame

Cannot be born without frame

For the kindling that sustains

Until ashes remain

What flame? What flare?

Can burst forth from the mind, bare?

And, What spark does not yearn

To break loose and freely burn?

Imagination must kindle Inspiration

Inspiration must spark Imagination

For a spark without flame

Is as a flame without spark
