Ironic Beauty of the Psych Ward

Everyone thought we were crazy, dangerous, and strange The joke is on them Because they were my friends, the good and the bad Together we made it through, bearable, even fun We got to the root of our problems And we lived on With a spirit and attitude different from before And a sense of humor we could not have shared With anybody else I may have known them for just a short time But they saved my life in so many ways Some in ways They may never come to realize I fell in love with every one of them With their spirits and with their faults And with their unconditional understanding. I will live on Because of them I will live on Because of what they have instilled inside of me And I will be eternally grateful.
