It’s been awhile since I’ve been here

most of the people no longer look sincere.

This tiny town is falling apart

and every person who leaves takes a piece of our heart.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been here

a place where we were always near.

Adventures around every bend

I reminisce on the time we spent.

Thinking about you all makes me want to cry

because I was once the one you call shy.

We were all a group this tiny town

it’s hard to believe I turned around.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been there

I hope to move on from the times we share.

The people there have not gone

but as for me, I’ve moved on.
