It Scares Me to Death - A Letter You'll Never Read

Tue, 12/12/2017 - 12:54 -- Dreavyn

As the stars want attention from the moon,

I want the attention from you.

I want you to love me like you said you did,

More than there were stars in all the galaxies.

You offered me a mirror to look at myself

Finding the beauty that I could not.

Even though we weren't made to last,

Only a temporary fire to be put to rest,

I'll still thank fate every second that we met by chance

And I'll thank fate that my heart burned for you

And for a short time, yours for mine.

I'll keep trying to hold on

And I'll sleep in a bed of ashes now that the fire is gone

While you scamper along with another girl

Starting a new fire to burn in her heart.
