It's You - My Inspiration

It’s all in how you look at me

It’s most definitely in your looks of apology

It’s how on command you say please

In what I refer to as “doginese”

It’s when to everyone else I fail

You are still there wagging your tail

It’s in how you yearn

For my every day timely return

It’s in your eyes with total trust

In hopes that from my plate you can have the crust

It’s your excited greetings

After all chores and many meetings

Your loyalty has not once waivered

In spite of my mood or my rude behavior

You’re my true inspiration

Your always prepared to guard my station

My desire is to love like you

I want to comfort you when you’re blue

You’re my true and constant friend

My inspiration to help all animals mend

You’re a true example of love and a joyful blessing from above
