I've Changed

The bright pink walls were painted over with gray,

Animals, dollls, all thrown away.

I lock myself up in my one room castle,

Avoiding my family, my chores, my hassels.

I hear my mom say "we never see you anymore!",

But I make it clear I still do adore.

I've changed, I want to be independent, alone.

I want to be bolder, wiser, and grown.

But I change even more, the older I get.

I realizer I was wrong to grow up,

And wish I could stay a kid.

I've changed.
