I've Come All This Way With You By My Side
When your dazzling rays draw up my gaze
To your alabaster light,
I often wonder what in you,
That transcendental being,
Desires to perch on your twilight throne
And drift cross land and sea to watch over me,
With that capacious glow.
Even in repose, you shed your lustrous robe
Which slinks into my breast pocket,
And unfolds into my starry reveries.
