Juan

Ten years agoWe met in school
I was a nerd with glasses
And you were overweight

High school found us much the same
I was no cooler, and you were no thinner
But you had my back, and I helped you on tests
You were my best friend
And I'm sorry that ended

You came back into my life this summer
We were grown up now
But no time had passed
You had picked up some bad habits
But al least you were back in my life
And you always bought the pizza

Three hundred dollars went missing
Then you were gone too
It's been months now
And I don't miss the money
I never did
But there is an empty spot on my couch
And I wish you were sitting there

2016 taught me a lot
And frankly it kinda sucked
losing you was hard
Although it taught me a lot
I learned to forgive
And how much drugs really cost
You'll always be my brother
