JumpStar-STOP

From coloring to writing notes

    From sleepovers to study groups

From best friends to strangers

From playing outside to longing for indoors

From playing handgames to forgetting how it goes

From having friends to having enemies

From craving candy to walking past it

               I’m so lost

Reality soon kicks in, where am I?

Adulthood looks me in the eyes as if we’ve been friends for so long

And says, “you’ve stepped inside a new realm, you must prepare”

Taken aback I look into Childhoods eyes, soon it evaporates

I soon find out I’m no child anymore
