Just Happens

As I stare at that child in someones arms I begin to wonder
How is it that by two simple words it brings a smile to that child's face
Peek ah-boo... Who would have thought
Will that child be raised well
Who knows, maybe, probably
I wonder if someone looked at me when I was younger and asked the same thing
Did I turn out well
Who really knows, maybe, probably
There isn't a set of rules to life
A child has to go through hard times, and fun times and all those time in between
I hope that I turn out all right, and so does that baby
But I don't know and neither does anyone else
