The Kids Are Alright

They said we wouldn't make it

But I've set myself straight

They told us we didn't have a chance

But I'm doing just great

They said there wasn't a point

In trying to live our lives

They told us were all wrong

But I'm gonna make things right

They said we weren't worth it

Worth all the love in the Earth

But I've got my heart on my sleeve

and it's warmer than the hearth

They said we wouldn't win the race

But I've passed the finish line

I'm feeling okay now

I think I'm gonna be just fine

I've lived another day

and I have found another light

We have found another beat

And the kids are now alright
