The Killer

All this suffering - it makes no sense
How one could live through such nonsense.
Minute by minute, the pain increases
As it rips through her veins like shards and pieces.

How did she get like this?
When did it start?
She puked up so much she lost her own heart.

All of us go through tough times, indeed
But when will we stop... perhaps when we bleed?
Hour by hour, the pain doesn't cease
As it cuts through her throat with no release.

She's trapped inside with no way out
Communication is her best shot
She's done it this time, she's hit the jackpot.

She desperately weeps as she walks along
Moaning and wondering what she's done wrong.
Day by day, the pain becomes worse
Her next move could land her inside a hearse.

Her father's angry and at a loss of words
She sits there and absorbs his silent rage
For all she knows this is a dream and she's onstage

All she wanted was to be beautiful in the mirror
Her image was distorted - never to become clearer
Year by year, the pain finally consumed her
As it left her feeling dead with numbness so obscure.
