Lessons From My Years

Location

I learned not to stay
When I was three.

(Don't look back)

I learned my self worth
By the time I was five.

(Less than a pill)

I learned that everyone dies
When I was seven
(I saw her last breath)

I learned that friends hurt you
When I was ten.

(She told me I was worthless)

I learned that love counters my no
When I was thirteen
(He wouldn't stop)

I learned I couldn't be fucked normal
When I was fourteen

(I wanted to feel loved)

I learned that it's not enough

When I was sixteen

(She doesn't care)
