Let Them Read

There is nothing more lovely than a fairytale.

A new world, a new life, all at the turn of a page.

In a world so twisted and dark,

Tales of giants in the sky and true love’s kiss

Is an escape to a reality far more beautiful than this one.

So let the children read their stories of knights in shining armor

And good always defeating evil.

Let them drift to sleep with fairies frolicking before their eyes.

Let them dream of faraway places and dragons and magic.

For when they wake, the magic will be over

And the world will not seem as bright as before.
