Let Us Rewind

Let us rewind,

Let us blast to the past.

Let me share with you

The reason my days are not bad.

A young lady was pregnant,

And she got very sick.

Not one doctor, not one specialist

Could help her with it.

She lived in the hospital.

She couldn’t go home.

When her husband was at work,

She was left alone.

She was a woman of prayer,

Her and her husband loved the Lord,

All they wanted was

A baby girl or baby boy.

As her pregnancy went along,

The doctors loss their positive voice.

They had done all they could

Now it was the parent’s choice.

“It is either you or the baby,

There’s no other way.”

That’s when the husband spoke up,

“They both will survive, they both will stay.”

Fast forward to now.

To 2015.

That couple had a baby girl

And now she’s 17.

She’s thinking about college,

She wants to be a nurse.

She’s a fashionable young lady,

With her lip gloss and her purse.

She thinks everything is awesome.

Full of laughter and a small so pretty.

Isn’t it awesome that

That girl is Me!
