Letter to the 'Friendly'

I know when you're not texting me, you're texting someone else
I know you...you don't like being alone
I'm not gonna sit here dumb like, I'm the only one
Take your pick
You have plenty

You have a whole entourage
A whole fan base of women to choose from
You say you chose me
How special?
I get to feel special like all your others friends do

I don't appreciate being placed collectively
With girls I don't know
Women I don't care for
Women who probably don't care about you
But accept you
Because you're so open to accept them

So open to point out their obvious beauty marks
The popularity contest is pitiful
You like them in return for likes
Disregarding my like for anything at all
Label me never satisfied

But why is it you're not satisfied with just me?
Why does there always have to be a friend, a home girl, a bestie
That shares the luxury of your attention?
You give of yourself so freely
There's never anytime for you
Let alone me

I think it's sad you're not comfortable with your own being
You need and desire the validation of others
Double taps of others
Text messages of others
Private messages with God knows what language from others

So am I insecure?
Yes
Just as much as you are
That I want to feel wanted
I want to feel popular
Not by everybody
But just you
