A letter to the past

Dear Me writing that was writing the 1st draft of this,

It was three years ago but it feels like yesterday

And that’s okay

Ended half a year ago

We both know you let go

But that which lingers

On the tip of your fingers

Something like rage

Carried on to your next page

It left us scarred

But not barred

From moving on

They are long gone

They weren’t the one

Your symphony has barely started

100 more years and we will be departed

But for today let us move on

And let our worries begone

Let the paranoia run away

Your heart will find a way

To heal itself and love anew
