Life

Life is a let-down

So am I

Streams of blue rain

And all I do is cry

Sitting on a cold bench

In a cold house

With a cold mind

That haunts me, breaking down

My thoughts are like rust

When they bleed on the floor

Scratch up my mind

And knock down the door

Life is a dream

Hang me with it

Because you’re most alone

When you’re stuck living in it

Take what’s yours

And leave me with it

Kill me first

Then escape with it

Where is Jesus?

Where is the door?

The dark hides

What I could see before

Time to look up

Play life again

Because if one door opens

It soon closes again

Life is for passing the time

Tomorrow is for living

Today is for dying

Connect me again

In two on the floor

The screams are a memory

Banging on the door

“Give me blood

You’ve got more”

Put up a wall

With all you have left

Then sit in your mind

And wait there for death.
