Life Adds to Beauty

Location

The trees dance

The wind runs astray.

The birds hum

And the water sighs.

What could be missing?

There's nothing else

But beauty here.

No other signs of life.

Life is missing.

Where are my children?

Splashing each other in the creek.

Dancing amongst the tune of life.

Giggling

Pretending.

Existent.

Where have they gone?

Are they ever coming back home?

No, my lady.

All life is gone.

Where have my children gone?

Off to war madame.

War.

Death.

Anguish.

Hatred.

My children

They are gone.

Signed their lives away

With the flick of their wrists.

Why is war so ugly, madame?

Because they have forgotten...

Life adds to beauty.
