LIFE of The African American Male

Location

Life something given that can be easily taken away,

To think that we are placed in this world not to stay.

To think as African Americans we have come so far,

Only to be set back into an inevitable war.

To fight for change and peace,

That only comes in the constitution of our dreams.

Was life's journey really this task,

To have to fight for our last breath in tear gas.

The bible and old hymns give us hope,

That Jesus is some how still on the throne.

To forever have to deal with the unequality in society,

That will forever always be uninviting.

To live our lives to the fullest

Cause that's all we have

To thank God cause we still are all we have left.
