From life on earth till life after death

From life on earth till life after death We feel the warmth of love The icy bitterness of hatred Joy and sadness fill the heart and mind The spirit within dances with feeling From life on earth till life after death Celebration of family, friends and ourselves In recollection of the lost souls The dead and the living come together Sharing beloved items, food and memories From life on earth till life after death The smell of incense fills the room Becoming blind with the brightness of the papel picado Feeling the burning sensation of the candles Pictures of those who past cover the altars From life on earth till life after death We learn that life is precious Death is peaceful yet violent The two worlds collide into a cycle Each can not be stopped, it is what it is From life on earth till life after death We live life to the fullest Breathing in all that is good and bad Leaving only the outcomes of our decisions Changing the world and how it works From life on earth till life after death We fear death yet we are grateful Letting out what we most desire Leaving life peacefully, without regret Ready for the spirit world
