A Life Gained

After her horrid experience, she feels different.
She feels lighter and like she's walking on the clouds.
But the question is why?
Two weeks later, she knows she's pregnant.
She feels like she's needed in the world.
As the months roll by, she experiences it all:
Motion sickness, swollen ankles and cravings.
All of this is worth it to hold that child on her arms.
9 months later, she is cradling a beautiful baby girl.
Now a life has been gained.
