Life on Ice

Tragedy and triumph

Somehow we always rise up

Talking tough and trading taunts

Always something else to flaunt

Anger under adrenaline and awe

Still always there for that next call

Trusting each other with all we've got

Making the effort for every shot

Pain and prayer

Even when the wins are rare

Protecting players or pounding posts

Feeling his pride even as a ghost

Respect overrules the game

Take the hit but remember the name

Making enemies until the very end

But coming out with way more than a friend

Fifteen people who always have your back

Family is something we'll never lack
