Tears falling
blood dripping
knife meets the wrist again
slicing away the pain
as it grows

slowly,painfully,steadily
the icy blade on my neck
cutting deep
tears and blood fall
simultaneously

collapsed,
on this unwelcoming floor
frozen and frightened
life chosen over death
