Life's Biggest Thrill

Years ago teachers would ask us

Write down what you feel

Deep down inside-

What you know is real

Back then it used to be a chore

But writing's not like that anymore

It's those days filled with tears

Filled with hatred

Filled with pain

Or those filled with no feeling at all

Take a pencil in your hand

Write away the fears

It's that feeling you get-

Tapping your foot to music

That beat you just can't forget

Memories you want to keep

If you don't write them down-

You'll be wrought with regret

Have to make the people see

That voice-

Music that's inside of me

Want to show the world I'm worth

something more-

Then some blood drops on the floor

This is who I am

How I speak

Writer VIP of the week

Call me short

Call me cutter

Call me bible thumper

Call me what you will

Writing is how I get my thrill
