The Light

Isolated with my thoughts, dwindling into emptiness

Wishing there was something to rip the pain from my chest

Breathing becomes more difficult as my eyes begin to swell

Tears threaten my flushed cheeks with the warmth of their dispair

Yet when all hope seems to be lost, I see a light through the bitter darkness

A light so bright, it could be seen from even the darkest places in the galaxy

A light so powerful, that all my past worries become insignificant

You are that light

That ever present light that has graced my life

A light that has saved me from a world ravaged by misery; a world that shows no mercy

And even when the light seems dim, I know it is still there

For the strength of your light can withstand the force of any storm, at any time, in any place

Your light is unstoppable, and that is why I keep on living.
