The Light

Sun, 08/26/2018 - 14:18 -- danipet

The Light offered to a dark world, the Light who has come into my heart

The Light who's wounded hands that were pierced by nails has the power to move the mountains

The Light who has found me in the dark as I was once blinded, but now can see

The Light who's Word changed me and made me new, teaching me my worth

The Light who has bid "don't give up," as when things get tough, You proved are much tougher

The Light that has cleansed me clean, making me whiter than snow

The Light who's smile makes the rebels cry, and the redeemed joyful and fall in love with You all over again

The Light that shines ever so bright by Your glorious smile, on a little girl like me who has done much wrong

The Light who has welcomed the broken, the burdened, the contrite in heart into Your loving arms

The Light of my life, my assurance, offered to a dark world.
