Light
Ecclesiastes 8:16-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
16 When I applied my heart to know wisdom and to see the business that is done on earth, even though one sees no sleep day or night, 17 then I saw all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun. For though a man labors to discover it, yet he will not find it; moreover, though a wise man attempts to know it, he will not be able to find it.
Light
The day is slowly waking … and light creeping in
It is similar to hope when the night arrives
Nothing left for the taking … as health loses its spin
It is impossible to cope and reality to survive
Daylight considered warmth and life and the night it’s dread
Why not close eyes during the day to hide the things unacceptable?
Why not with your kids and wife invest the day completely in bed?
So in the morning to store away the un-liked reality and its tentacles
Can one escape destiny by thinking it is not there?
Can one recognize danger when lost in self-pity?
Can one postpone agony when searching in its sphere?
Can one dream of a manger if desires are not with it?
Can one live in a palace and love simplicity?
Can one bathe in wealth and understand the feelings of the poor?
Can one release the ballast of his own stupidity?
Can one suppress a belch when it knocks in stomach’s core?
Is it written in our minds to accept our own iniquity?
Is it stenciled in our hearts to get the pleasure of the wrong?
Is there joy in being blind to hide from our own fallacy?
Is this not the major part to show where we belong?
“Where have all the flowers gone?” Emptiness within
Blinders of emotion hiding proof of Life
Are we all alone? Caught in the should have been
In our own devotion seeking inner-strife
