Limp Limbs of Sleeplessness

Sun, 09/14/2014 - 14:35 -- Skoves
Sleeplessness encapsulates my thoughts
Riddles holes into confident
Tarps
Roofing
Windbreakers
Breaking wind all over my
Overjoyed
Overstimulated
Over done
Membrane
Brain fried
Pan seared? Hannibal said,
This is what becomes of you.
No one to save you
They've all flown out west
East is always the least protected
Slurp.
Scrape.
Chew.
My brain becomes consumed by another
Lost ability to focus
Function
Keep things together
I collapse
Into a hovel
Without the sleep
Coma with open eyes
Mind eaten
Eyes blank
Limp limbs longingly dangling
In all directions
Seeking something
Stable
Concrete
Binding.

Hope.
