Little drummer girl

A musician's soul
dances
feels
breathes
sways
flexes
beats
turns
jumps
taps
pounds
swipes
scrapes
twists
flies
soars
dives
spontaneously combusts
drills;
listens
I know because this
is my soul
that is how I
feel
all the
time
kind of like I
should
be
dancing
but not with
my whole body
at once,
but always
some part
of me
must be
dancing.
