Little Miss Star

Ole Miss Star was proud of her girl,

and it meant to her the world to see her little girl

twirl.

So Ole Miss Star took a chance,

and encouraged her girl to dance.

On the stage,

the audience’s eyes stayed engaged.

But, Ole Miss Star was not amazed.

She knew her daughter was capable,

of using her light to spark a highly flammable

flare in other’s hearts.

From a young age my mom has always instilled in me to follow my dreams and pursue what I love. This short poem is dedicated to her.
