Live

Her moods were inconsistent,

like when a clear sky suddenly begins to rain.

It wasn't foreseen;

yet, it drove her insane.

With the flick of the switch,

the lights could go out.

Or they could turn on,

just like her self doubt.

Her heart constantly raced with anxiety,

like the beat of an intense drum.

Only it was being hit too hard,

and eventually it simply became numb.

She was running for so long,

away from the sadness and despair.

Away from the darkness,

that was becoming her own personal nightmare.

She was searching for so long,

for the thing that had the ability

to set her soul free

and allow her access to tranquility.

In time, she stopped running.

She grew tired,

feeling useless and completely void

of everything that she once desired.

But she learned that life happens,

sometimes people will tear you apart.

But it was her persistance that allowed her to stand up,

and allow herself to restart.

Now she has an intense love for things,

things she never had before.

A deep craving for life,

that has continued to leave her wanting more.

She focuses on her own happiness for once,

finally relighting the fire in her soul.

Restoring the damaged that was inflicted upon her,

and making herself feel whole.

She's decided to let her sadness go,

and she's learned how to move on.

Leaving heartbreak and failure in the past,

and finally choosing to live.
