Living this life

Living this life teaches more than the books.

Loving to lust, that gets us hooked.

Liking the guy, wanting his touch,

your parents find out and think you’re doing too much.

They instill fear just to achieve power.

You wonder how to leave, you’re counting the hours.

Living this life is education enough.

We learn from mistakes and sometimes it’s rough.

Managing work, family, and school.

Raised in church so you can’t break the rules.

You fall all the time, try not to cry,

but there are times you just want to die.

Living this life made you this way.

You appreciate the good and endure the long days.

Your life has taught you more, your teachers taught you less.

But every moment of your life has brought you to success.

Success is doing what your heart wants you to do.

That’s what you’re doing. You’ve learned to just be you.

I can relate to this so much! Trying to live your life with everyone else telling you what to do and how to do it is overwhelming!
