Living Without Myself

Location

I'm alive, I have a heart beat, I breathe in and out, in and out. I look in the mirror and I see a face. I'm guessing it's mine but I'm not sure. The face is caked in what society says is beauty. There's a smile with too white and straight teeth. The face I'm looking at is fake. It's living to society's standards, not my heart's. I'm alive, I have a heart beat, I breathe in and out, in and out. I'm alive, but I'm living without myself.
