Loneliness

When you first came into my life

I was unsure at the time

Of what it’d be.

Time passed. Things were up and down.

I knew one thing

That you’d stick around

I was so sure…

Loneliness pushed and pulled me away from you.

You were the cure, and of myself I became unsure.

Time seems over, and I’m reminiscing over you;

But the same emotions I endure.

I could talk to you about

Anything I wasn’t sure about.

You mentored me.

My heart soon wanted more.

More than you’d give. I was so sure

That I’d be yours,

But of that you wasn’t sure.

Loneliness pushed and pulled me away from you.

You were the cure, and of myself I became unsure.

Time seems over, and I’m reminiscing over you;

But the same emotions I endure.
