Losing Me

“I drank to ease the pain of losing you”

I guess I didn’t know there was a pain in losing me.

It hid behind your straight face

and blank stare.

You walked through the hall,

giving the illusion that you didn’t care.

I never thought I meant that much,

You never showed me that I did.

Now that I have said goodbye,

You’re making all these promises.

Trust me, I’m not the one for you.

Go find a girl that will be all you want her to.

Some people just aren’t meant to be

And you keep hoping

But darling, you’re not the one for me.
