Loss of my grandpa

Losing you felt like my heart was ripped out my chest,

I cried for many days all those sleepless nights,

constantly trying my best,

to stay strong and fight.

Wishing you never left,

wanting to bring you back,

you were always the best,

wishing I could pull up and track,

where you are at.

I have slowly recovered,

from this horrible loss

that I have struggled

and it hurts that I can't toss

it away like as if it's nothing.

Your loss has helped,

by making me open eyes,

and has enabled,

me to rise,

through this pain.

I am now more motivated,

to keep you proud,

I shall not stay isolated,

because I have vowed,

to do my very best,

from now on.
