A Lost Girl

He's here

he has came

but what is his name?

In the shadows he hides

as I pretend to close my eyes

In the shadows I see

he watches me

His intentions never bad

always happy

never sad

but curiosity grows

his name I must know

A lost boy of sorts

wearing a dress?

maybe shorts

My brothers lay beside me

Completely unaware

of the boy in the window

with the messiest of hair

His eyes just met mine

And I lost track of time

it all seemed so simple

as he offered a... thimble?

At last I have met him

this strange, strange boy

Who fights with his shadow

and knows little of toys

I want to fly

and he tells me I can

so out the window I go

with Peter Pan
