Lost To IT.

Location

She sinks the blade

Deep into her flesh,

Cutting.

Trying.

To cut herself OUT.

Of this shell,

This mask,

This costume,

The fake.

She longs to be her again,

When she was ABLE.

To reach for the stars

To laugh

To cry

To smile

To frown.

To be who she was,

Before IT happened.

She had fallen for IT.

How could she,

So stupid

Stupid

STUPID!

Bangs her head

Against a wall,

And pray for IT,

to go away.

IT is always there,

In school

At home

In her dreams.

She TRIES,

To push it away.

But it's always there

Nagging

Laughing

Snickering

At the one she once was.

The words.

They ring,

And ring

And ring

And ring

In her head.

Day and night,

Growing louder,

AND LOUDER.

everyday.

She let them.

Break her.

Pulled her away,

From who

She once was,

Now she cries out,

And bleeds

In sorrow,

For the    l o s s,

Of who

She once was.
