Lost in Reading

Dazzle me.

Your bright colors of allurement

showing off,

spinning fantasies.

Well, can you turn those fantasies into reality?

Take me.

Into the world of the unknown.

Show me danger and the excitement of adventure;

wizards and dragons are all that I want to see.

Promise me.

That there will be more chapters to our story.

Let me follow you

to each new realm that you enter.

Give me compassion.

Show me heartbreak

and true love all tied together

with one perfect ending.

Inspire me.

Feed me words of wisdom,

words of emotion, and

let me breathe them in.

The air in my lungs filling with creativity.

Engross me.

Use your spells of enchantment to help me

believe that castles and fairies are

a constant thing.

Embrace me.

With pure evil, letting

the power snake around me,

giving me that one breath of true insanity

masked in control.

Push me.

Into what you call dreaming.

Let the imagination behind my eyes

become me. And wake me up, screaming,

to force me to see what it means to lose something

as special as the realm of dreams.

Trick me.

Into thinking that I have learned everything.

Show me that there is more than I

could ever truly believe. That the world

is bigger than it seems.

Ease me.

Gently back into reality, but

whisper to me. That I also

have another journey.

That someday I will find

that new beginning.
