This poem is about a long term relationship I was in a few years so during this time I had been struggling a lot with my depression and anxiety. He had tried to tell me that because he loved me it would all heal and it would all be okay, which wasn’t true. I needed help but he held me back which was the downfall of our relationship. He left me because “I was crazy” and I needed help. I did need help, and thank god I reached out and got it. Now I am able to say I am in control and proudly fighting the stigma on mental illness.
