Love Is Sad, C'est La Vie

You come to school, ready to go with all your might

And then you see her, fall in love at first sight

She simply smiles at you and turns around

You don't say a word, being too shy and spellbound

Before you know it, you break out of your shell

When she turns herself over to another dumbell

And hangs out with the cool crowd

While all you could do is cry in your storm cloud

'Cause you know that they'll never accept you or even look at you

It gets to the point that you might as well be see-through

You wonder how this even came to be

Then realize that such is life, c'est la vie

You don't give up, try to talk to her

She barely even remembers you as a pathetic blur

You realize she's not even your friend, became one of them

And you just showed up to be condemned

You give up on her and forget about it

But your love for her doesn't die even though you just quit

You crawl back home, pretend to be fine

Align your heart with your mind, and yell at the Divine

For showing you what is and what should never be

And no matter how much you disagree

Even if you pray, cry, beg, and plea

Such is life, c'est la vie.
