love thy neighbor

"Love thy Neighbor"

Loving thy neighbor
Is it that hard
We can trust in strangers
But not the one that's extending a hand
A helping one that is
But we expect thy neighbor to give
Their things, help, time all of the above
And in return they just want to be loved
Yet we treat them like they were never thought of
Is that love
Or is it deceit
That we treat thy neighbor
Like a piece of trash on the street
Love is such a strong four letter word
And some of our neighbors
To them love has never been heard
All they ever heard was the word
They couldn't soar like a bird or even chirp
Everything they experienced was hurt
We call our self winners
But won't help the beginners
So we lost
But at a much bigger cost
We became someone underrated
And our father above said we were created
To help bring a change
Yet we will hurry and call thy neighbor names
Are we going insane
Or is it true
That when it comes to loving thy neighbor We have no clue,
What if thy neighbor was you, or me
Wouldn't you want to see
How it feels to get loved for free
Thy neighbor not speaking in terms of next door
Could we for once adore
The beauty of love
For our friends
And bring this word they call hatred to an end
Love thy neighbor can you hear it
We turn our backs
But trust in God's spirit
He stated love thy sister and brother
Yet we walk around like we don't know each other
But we confess we love the Lord
And we won't even help our neighbor aboard
Are we really on one accord
As people, or do we act as high as a steeple
How can we have a relationship with our heavenly dad
And continue to treat each other so bad
While we are here and we are able
Do me a favor
And love thy neighbor
