A Loving Father

Location

A father’s love cannot be measured

In petty units of weight and feet.

For his love, however fleet,

Is always held dear and treasured.

A father’s love is unconditioned

For it can never be taken away.

Enangered, yet not frays,

Is always brought to fruition.

A father’s love is seen by all

Especially to his lamb.

Actions have weight, gram for gram,

They follow and recall.

A father’s love some never enjoy

Deceased, gone, or abused,

For the heart can only bruise,

God’ll never let be destroyed.

My father’s love has always been,

Faulting never, ever strong.

I hope to carry this life-long,

And express my love to my kin

Like my father did, way back when.
