Make No Mistake

The words I say aren't of a victim,

They're words that need to be shared.

The tears I shed aren't of fear,

They're tears that wisdom made clear.

Make no mistake my intention are true,

Like my love for you it'll follow through,

So please grit your teeth and swallow your pride,

Communication is all that can save our minds.

It's simple it's fast it'll just punch your gut,

But love isn't real and doesn't pop up unless that's what we want.

To find love your must search, to keep it you must speak,

So make no mistake in the words that I preach,

You're beauty you're smart you're a reason to breathe,

But lately it feels it's not meant to be.

Make no mistake I love you so dear,

But i'd rather us both face truth then to huddle in fear,

I'm a man I am grown I can settle for none,

But I cannot settle on showing love to one who shows me none,

It's been great it's been wild it's been a hell of a trial,

So let's both be on our way in this land of confusion,

May our paths cross again with intentions not so elusive
