Making You Happy

Your eyes are red and dark from all theworrying that you have done.

I can see the hardenign of your heart,

from all the battles you have never won.

I would like to make you happy, but that is all I ever do.

I never look at myself and it is something I never knew.

I can see what we could be far in the future, and it looks idfferent than what i want.

It is different than what i have pictured for myself.

It is a different color, a different hue.

You fell fast and you fell strong.

I fell partly and i am still holding on.

You knew i loved you but just not as much as i could have,

I have experienced the great love, and to you this is what we had.

I was in the beginning and you were at the peak.

You had your heart wrapped around our love, so it would not leak.

The love you wanted outweighed the thought of what we really were,

it was nice at first, but then it turned.

We were uneven and staggering, and in a constant state of work.

Soon we would overcorrect, and take a hard turn,

We would try and soak in the blow, and ignore the hurt.

We would try and try, but were never going to learn.
