Man Down

Our world today is a bitter place to be,

People getting shot up, just for walking down the street.

Officers see a different color, and resolve to beat

Not realizing their victims have families at home to feed

Children crying, Brothers dying

Our world gives no hope to keep

People lying, break out of riots

Still no justice, and no peace.

What kind of world are we living in?

See a person that's different, and resolve in killing them

Innocent little girl outside on the playground

2 cops take a drive by, and shoot her down.

MAN DOWN, MAN DOWN, MAN DOWN

Isis running around, terrorizing, creating crisis

Buildings getting bombed up, and shot up in different towns

MAN DOWN, MAN DOWN, MAN DOWN

All these hateful thoughts and memories,

Surrounding me, Choking me, Feels like I can't breathe.

But the only thing that helps me get through it, to cope and have hope with it

Is God, My Faith, and My Poetry
