You think you want to die,
But you really just want to be saved.
Do they ignore you when you cry?
Do they see your inside is decayed?

Do you hide behind a smile?
Do you say you’re fine when you’re not?
That façade only lasts a while.
Life is your story, and you control the plot.

Our generation was molded from magazines.
Taught to be flawless,
But perfection can’t be achieved.

Why do we care so much about what other people think?
Their words fill you with insecurity,
So you down another drink.

We wear the masks that hide our pain.
It seems easier in short,
But long term offsets your brain.

Don’t just leave your feelings on the shelf.
It's okay to be different,
As long as you are yourself.
